  2. Pay and a subtle vibration will alert you that the payment has been transmitted.
  3. Receivea payment confirmation including the date, time, and amount of the transaction. That’s it!

Google Pay is a contactless digital payment solution available on certain mobile devices, which allows you to add your PenFed credit or debit card to the Google Pay app on your device to make purchases at retailers in-store and online.

Look for these symbols at checkout in-store or online to pay using Google Pay

Google Pay may be preloaded on select devices. If your device does not have the Google Pay app, simply download it from your device’s app store. Google Pay requires that you sign-into your Google account before you register any credit/debit cards. All PenFed debit and credit cards are eligible to be used with Google Pay. To add your PenFed card to Google Pay:

  1. Open the Google Pay app.
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture > Wallet
  3. Add your PenFed Visa card with the snap of a photo. If your card is already linked to your Google account, just confirm a few details to add it.
  4. At the bottom, tap Add to Wallet.
  5. Tap Payment card.
  6. To capture your card info, use the camera. You can also enter your card info manually.

Yes, there is no charge to use Google Pay however, an active mobile data plan is required and depending on your data plan, message and data rates may apply.

Yes, when using Google Pay, your PenFed card number isn’t stored on your phone or given to the merchant. The merchant never receives or transmits your actual card number. Google Pay replaces your real card number with a unique digital card number or digital account number (token) as a substitute that is used to make purchases in-store and online.

Yes, you’ll still get all the benefits and protections that your credit or debit card provides. If you currently earn rewards on purchases, you’ll continue to earn them for purchases made with Google Pay.

If your phone is lost or stolen, you can lock your phone and suspend Google Pay by using the Find My Device.

Additionally, you can lock your card anytime within PenFed Online. Log in to your PenFed online account, click your PenFed credit card account, and under the card image click the button to lock your card and prevent payments from being made. You can lock and unlock your card anytime.

Purchases made with your PenFed credit or debit cards have Visa’s Zero-Liability± Protection for any unauthorized card transactions. This means that you will not pay for any unauthorized transactions.
