It’s not available at CVS Pharmacy® locations inside Target stores. In addition, retail cash deposit is not available at Walgreens Pharmacy locations. Please use the PenFed Mobile App to find a location nearest you.

Yes. Each transaction must be between $10 and $999. You can add up to $1,500 a day and $5,000 per month. You can add cash up to 10 times a month. The first 3 transactions are free per month and then you will be charged $2 per transaction after that.
You'll see your transaction in the Recent Transactions section of your eligible checking account—and your money will be available in your account within minutes.
Each time you start a new retail cash deposit transaction, you’ll be issued a new, unique barcode. For security purposes, the barcode only stays active for 5 minutes.
If your barcode times out while you’re online, you can easily create a new one in the PenFed Mobile app.
Your barcode must be visible through your PenFed Mobile App on your smartphone.
Yes, bring your ID. Some stores may ask for your photo ID to verify your retail cash deposit transaction, if you’re adding a large amount.
Retail cash deposit is built directly into the PenFed Mobile App, meaning you can expect the same level of security you've always enjoyed banking with the app. Plus, you don't have to share account information to add cash—just show your barcode to the cashier.
Remember that once the transaction is finalized and you see the funds added to your balance, your money is NCUA-insured up to allowable limits. If you have any issues, we’ll review video footage of your transaction and examine what happened.
For each member, you can add up to $1,500 a day and $5,000 a month. There’s a $10.00 minimum to make a retail cash deposit transaction. Coins and dollar bills are both accepted.
No. If you need to deposit checks, our mobile app has a handy mobile deposit feature.
You won’t be able to cancel your transaction or withdraw money from the participating store once the transaction is complete. You can, however, withdraw the money from an ATM or branch once the transaction’s been completed.
