2005-2006 Scholarships Awarded

  • USAWOA Scholarship Foundation - The Selection Committee reviewed the 33 applications received for the USAWOA $1,000.00 Scholarships for the 2005-2006 school year. This year’s awards go to the following individuals:

    • Ellen Marie Gaston, daughter of CW5 Billie R. Gaston.  She plans to attend John Brown University, Seloam Springs, AR.

    • Kellie Meena Loftus, daughter of CW5 Steven C. Loftus.  She plans to attend N.W. Missouri State University, Maryville, MO.

    • Allen M. Pappas, son of CW5 (Ret) Michael Pappas.  He plans to attend SW Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, OK

  • Grantham University Online - The USAWOA Scholarship Foundation, in conjunction with Grantham University, is proud to announce the first time award of two Grantham University On-Line Scholarships.  These 5 course scholarships have a value of approximately $5,000.00 based on 5 – 15 credit hour courses, books and fees, according to Grantham. This year’s scholarships go to:

    • Sommer L. Crean, daughter of CW4 Edward Crean of Rineyville, KY

    • John R Meier, son of CW4 John P. Meier, APO AE 09165-1300.

It is interesting to note that both of these young folks also applied for the regular USAWOA $1,000.00 scholarship grants provided each year, but they backed up their chances by applying for the on-line award also.
